On-site therapy service for schools
I provide a service for schools where I visit and run therapy sessions one to one with school pupils, or I can run sessions with groups of up to 6 during the school day.
I work with children from the age of 4 up to 18, tailoring my approach to fit the needs of the client. This will be a combination of talking, play and art therapies. I will bring my own equipment - I just need the school to provide a quiet and private space to hold sessions in.
I have successfully helped younger clients with:
Bereavement
Family breakdown and separation
Depression and anxiety
Self Harm
Suicidal thoughts and actions
Bullying and social isolation
Sexual Abuse and trauma
DID (Disassociative Identity Disorder)
Domestic abuse and violence
Attachment Disorders
This enables the school to actively support children where they don't have a suitably trained and qualified member of staff in place, and minimises disruption for the school through reduced absence from the classroom.
Training and consultation service for schools
I am also able to provide a service for schools where I visit and provide staff training on various issues commonly affecting children and young people - such as self harm, CSE, and attachment issues.
I can also support schools that may be struggling to cope with a particular individual by providing bespoke training, strategies and tactics.
This will enable school staff to approach issues with improved confidence, delivering noticable positive outcomes quickly and ultimately reducing the staff resources required to support an individual pupil.
